Everything you can do with OpenCare today, how to set up your circle in about 15 minutes, and honest answers to the questions everyone asks.
This is all live right now — not a roadmap.
One shared home base per person you care for. Invite family by email — everyone sees the same tasks and updates.
Start from ready-made elder-care checklists (hygiene, health, home safety). Recurring tasks roll to the next date when marked done.
Tasks, visits, members, and contacts are big friendly cards you swipe through — designed for phones and older eyes.
After each visit, check off what happened (meal, meds, mood…), add notes and a photo. The whole family stays in the loop.
Type "When did mom last shower?" over your visit history and get an answer — an AI assistant that reads only your circle's log.
Send your housekeeper or aide a link. They see their checklist (in Spanish if you choose), check things off, reply, and attach photos. No sign-up.
Get a ping when someone logs a visit or assigns you a task. Members can send each other short messages too.
The whole app switches languages with one tap — including the checklists you share with helpers.
Follow these in order on your phone or computer. You can stop anywhere and pick it up later.
Sign up with your email — no credit card, no trial clock. OpenCare is free for caregivers.
You'll land on "Create your first Care Circle." Name it after the person you're caring for — like "Mom" or "Care for Dad." You're automatically the coordinator.
Open your circle and tap Care Recipients. Add their name, doctors, medications, and languages — so everyone helping has the essentials in one place.
Open Tasks. If it's empty, you'll see starter checklists — personal hygiene, health monitoring, home safety. Pick the ones that fit; they arrive as recurring tasks with sensible schedules.
💡 Tip: swipe through task cards on your phone, or switch to List view for a compact overview.
In Members, tap Invite. If they already have OpenCare, add them by email instantly; otherwise send them the invite message. Add offline helpers (neighbors, aides) under Contacts — they don't need accounts.
On any contact's card, tap "Share checklist." You get a private link to text them — they see their tasks (Spanish available), check things off, and can reply with photos. No app, no account.
After you stop by, tap the big green Visit button at the bottom of the screen. Check off what happened, add a note or photo, save. That's the family's shared memory now.
In the Visit Log, type a question in the search bar — "When were her meds last checked?" — and tap Ask. The AI reads your circle's visit history and answers.
Go to Profile → Notifications and enable them, so you hear about new visits and tasks without checking in.
💡 On iPhone, add OpenCare to your Home Screen first (Share → Add to Home Screen) — iOS requires that for notifications.
Yes. OpenCare is free for family caregivers. No card, no trial period, no locked features in what you see here.
No — it runs in your browser and works great on phones. For an app-like experience, add it to your home screen: on iPhone, Share → Add to Home Screen; on Android, the browser menu → Add to Home screen.
Family members who want full access sign up (free). But aides, housekeepers, and neighbors don't need to — send them a checklist link and they can see tasks, check them off, and reply with photos, all without an account.
Only members of your circle. Circles are invisible to other OpenCare users. Helper links show only the checklist you chose to share — not medical details, not other circle data.
Everything is editable: tasks, visit logs, profiles, circle details. You can delete individual entries, whole circles, or your entire account (Profile → bottom of the page) at any time.
Yes — circles work for any shared-care situation: a recovering family member, a neighbor you check on, post-surgery support. There's also a Recovery & Wellness mode with daily check-ins.
Your circle is private. Only the people you invite can see its tasks, visits, and notes — enforced at the database level (row-level security), not just in the app.
Sign-in is handled by Clerk (SOC 2), data lives in Supabase (SOC 2) on AWS. We never sell your data. Helper links show only the tasks you chose to share, and you can revoke them anytime.
We'd rather tell you now than surprise you later. On the way:
Fifteen minutes of setup, and everyone helping finally sees the same picture.
